A visit was held by the Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Iryna Borzova

On August 14, 2025, a visit was held by the Member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Iryna Borzova, to the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Nemyriv City Hospital”.

The distinguished guests were welcomed by the Head of Nemyriv City Council – Viktor Kachur, the hospital’s General Director – Olena Verlan-Kulshenko, and heads of departments.

Participants of the event included: Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia District State Administration — Olena Futuymas, Director of the Department of Humanitarian Policy of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration — Tetiana Kamenshchuk, Acting Deputy Director of the Department of Veterans Policy — Serhii Klymenko, and the founder of the NGO “Ukraine–Scotland” — Andrii Kharlanov.

Also visiting the hospital were the Deputy Mayors of Nemyriv in charge of relevant sectors — Larysa Kushko and Ivan Dziubak.

During the visit, the activities of the medical institution were presented. The guests became acquainted with the work of inpatient departments, outpatient consultation services, and diagnostic units.

Special attention was given to the maternity ward. Iryna Borzova personally visited the department, spoke with the medical staff and women who had recently given birth. Each mother received a “Baby Box” — a donation from Scotland to support newborns. Within this project, families in Ukraine receive essential items for newborn care, including hygiene products, clothes, and toys. This initiative aims to support young families and create comfortable conditions during the first days of a newborn’s life.

Under the leadership of the hospital’s General Director, Olena Verlan-Kulshenko, along with the facility’s specialists, key problems and urgent needs were discussed and voiced to the Member of Parliament. During the dialogue, further cooperation paths were outlined, with priorities including equipment renewal and strengthening the hospital’s material and technical resources.

A pleasant surprise for the staff was a birthday greeting extended to three hospital employees: Chief Accountant – Olha Bukshtein, HR Inspector – Tetiana Smyryhina, and Medical Nurse of the Traumatology Department – Lesia Buleiko. This gesture reflected care not only for patients but also for the institution’s staff.

We sincerely thank Iryna Borzova for her visit, attention to the challenges facing the healthcare sector, and her genuine interest in the development of our community’s medical infrastructure. We hope for fruitful cooperation aimed at preserving patients’ lives and health and improving the quality of medical services — both for the residents of Nemyriv and for patients from surrounding areas seeking care at the Nemyriv City Hospital.
