The Emergency Medical Department (EMD), established on December 1, 2012, as part of Nemirov Central District Hospital, currently operates as a structural unit of Nemirov Municipal Hospital, providing round-the-clock emergency medical assistance to patients delivered by emergency medical services, referred by healthcare professionals, and those who seek care independently.
EMD services include:
- Round-the-clock reception, registration, and provision of emergency medical care to patients in accordance with protocols approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
- Medical triage during mass influxes of patients to the hospital.
- Examination and sanitary processing of patients, directing them to specialized departments of the hospital based on established diagnoses for further inpatient treatment.
Currently, these tasks are carried out by highly qualified emergency medicine physicians and surgeons: Dr. Oleksandr Samilyak, Dr. Volodymyr Yakhno, and Dr. Denys Senchenko.
The department is staffed with qualified middle and junior medical personnel. To fulfill its functions, the EMD is equipped with modern medical equipment including electrocardiographs, blood gas and electrolyte analyzers, portable ultrasound machines, patient monitors, pulse oximeters, and more.
As needed to improve emergency medical care, specialists from other medical fields are involved. Diagnostic services provided to patients include X-rays, ultrasound examinations, CT scans, endoscopic procedures, and laboratory diagnostics.
