The Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory (CDL) with a Bacteriological Department is an essential diagnostic unit within the Nemiriv Municipal Hospital. It serves patients from various hospital departments, the consultative polyclinic, and the Primary Healthcare Center of Nemiriv.

Facilities and Equipment:

  • The CDL is well-equipped with measurement instruments, testing and auxiliary equipment, reagents, standard materials, and quality-assured test systems.
  • The laboratory premises meet all necessary standards for conducting tests, including requirements for measurement techniques, operational documents for measuring equipment, occupational safety, fire safety, industrial hygiene, and epidemiological safety during laboratory work.
  • Workstations for conducting measurements are equipped with personal computers connected to the internet, facilitating the recording of test results into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system as per hospital protocols.

Quality Control:

  • The CDL conducts both internal and external quality control assessments systematically to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Staff:

  • The laboratory is managed by Tetiana Vasylivna Stryletska, who oversees operations.
  • Key personnel include biochemist V.D. Nemirovska, bacteriologist N.A. Zhdanova, and several laboratory assistants and technicians: T.M. Lastivka, I.V. Ivankova, A.A. Komar, O.V.
  • Samodral, L.A. Nechaieva, M.O. Biletska, O.V. Latyuk, A.S. Hlembotska, and S.V. Kolesnyk.

Types of Diagnostic Tests:

  • Hematological Tests: Conducted using the Abacus 380 diatron automated hematology analyzer.
  • General Clinical Tests: Utilizing the URI-TX 300 Cormay urine analyzer.
  • Biochemical Tests: Performed on the Accent-120 Cormay automatic biochemical analyzer, BS 3000M semi-automatic biochemical analyzer, and electrolyte and blood gas analyzer.
  • Coagulation Studies: Conducted with the Goag semi-automatic 2-channel coagulometer.
  • Serological and Immunological Tests: Including microplate-based IFA analysis using the PrisMatic analyzer.
  • Cytological Tests: For cellular analysis.
  • Bacteriological Tests: Covering a range of microbiological investigations.

Turnaround Time:

  • Tests are typically completed within the working day, with bacteriological investigations following specific methodological recommendations.

The Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory with its Bacteriological Department plays a crucial role in the diagnostic processes of the hospital, ensuring accurate diagnosis, differential diagnostics, and effective therapy evaluation for patients across various medical conditions.
